The Bulletin is the official journal of the Geological Society of Malaysia. First published in 1968, it is a leading geoscience journal in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The Bulletin is a double-blind peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal which publishes Earth Science research that addresses not only trending research areas but also high-quality application topics. Warta Geologi also reports on activities and news about GSM and the geoscience community in Malaysia.

The Society has a membership of about 900 geoscientists based in Malaysia as well as abroad. The membership of the society is not only limited to geology graduates, lecturers and professionals, but it is also open to other science students, including those majoring in geophysics and engineering.
