Quick answers about alerts, the app, privacy, accuracy and working with us.
Getting the news
- How do I get breaking-news alerts?
- Press “Breaking news alerts” in the footer and accept your browser's own prompt. Alerts go out only for important, fresh stories, never at night, and you can switch them off in your browser's site settings. On an iPhone, install the app first (below). Go to the footer →
- How do I install DomainFork as an app?
- On Android or a computer, press “Install app” in the footer. On an iPhone or iPad, open the site in Safari, press Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. It opens full screen and keeps working offline for stories you have read.
- How do I get the Daily Briefing by email?
- Press Subscribe at the top of any page. The briefing comes on weekday mornings, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Can I follow one desk or state?
- Yes. Every desk and every state has its own RSS feed, listed on the feeds page, and your watchlist keeps the desks and markets you care about on your own device. See the feeds →
Your privacy
- What do you do with cookies?
- You choose on your first visit and can change your mind at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer. The privacy notice lists exactly what is stored and why. Read the privacy notice →
- Do you know who I am?
- No. Reading habits that make the site work better for you stay on your own device, and what we count is anonymous and in aggregate. Your watchlist lives only in your browser.
Accuracy
- I found a mistake. What do I do?
- Tell us with the Report a mistake link on the story, or send a tip and choose “Correction”. Corrections are published at the foot of the story with the date. Send a tip or a correction →
- Where do the numbers come from?
- Official ones (the policy rate, the ringgit rate, inflation, growth, petrol prices) come straight from Bank Negara Malaysia and the Department of Statistics, each with its date and a link to the source. See Malaysia in numbers →
- How do you decide what to publish?
- Every story is checked against its source, and figures the source does not contain are not published. The standards page explains the checks and how corrections work. How we report →
Working with us
- How do I tell the newsroom something?
- Use the tip form. You can stay anonymous. We do not publish or share what you send. Send us a tip →
- How do I advertise?
- Display, video and sponsored formats are listed on the advertise page, with the spaces, sizes and how buying works. Advertise with DomainFork →
