Kampung Holtekamp in Jayapura City will be assessed in the Army-led Kampung Pancasila programme for 2026, the Mayor of Jayapura Abisai Rollo said on Thursday.

“We have thanked the TNI for giving Holtekamp the chance to take part,” Rollo told reporters. “We hope this assessment spreads to every kampung in Jayapura so every citizen learns to love the Republic and the five principles of Pancasila.”

Major-General Febriel Buyung Sikumbang, regional army commander, said the programme bundles civic education with practical support. “Each district military command runs its own appraisal, and only those that meet criteria go forward to the Army-level team,” he said.

Sikumbang added that the initiative includes farming advice, food-security drills, youth mentoring, small-business clinics and guidance on using media responsibly. “The goal is daily life practice of Pancasila, not the certificate,” he said.
