Market Impact

Norhayati Razali, 55, remains hospitalised in Kuala Lumpur Hospital after sustaining head and bodily injuries. Her brother, Mohd Nadzri Razali, 69, said she has been moved from ICU to a regular ward and can now eat and drink without a feeding tube. She still suffers memory loss and does not remember her husband and two children were killed in the crash.

"She was told that her husband and two children have died. After regaining consciousness, family members took her to see their bodies and explained what happened; she just nodded and didn't say anything," Mohd Nadzri said on Friday. "But the next day, she asked where her husband and children were. So we are unsure if she remembers what she was told."

The truck, with its beacon and siren activated, was heading to Chow Kit when it entered an intersection against a red light. It collided with a car on a green light, went out of control, and struck the pedestrians and a second car. Three people died at the scene.
