Qualcomm will launch two new flagship chipsets, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, according to a leak from Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo and reported by Gadgets 360.

Market Impact

The names differ from earlier leaks that had suggested the use of “Pro” in the lineup. Both chips are expected to power Android flagships including the iQOO 16, OnePlus 16, Xiaomi 17 Series and Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, the report said. TSMC will make the parts on a 2 nm process using Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU architecture in a 2+3+3 core configuration.

Qualcomm is tipped to pair the regular Gen 6 with an Adreno 845 GPU and the Extreme Gen 6 with an Adreno 850 GPU. The company plans to unveil the chips at the Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui, Hawaii on 22-24 September 2026.
