Eskayvie and Universiti Malaya Launch Clinical Trial Partnership to Validate Mindtropic’s Cognitive Benefits
Eskayvie Sdn Bhd and Universiti Malaya (UM) have formalised a strategic research collaboration to conduct clinical trials on Eskayvie’s flagship cognitive nutrition product, Mindtropic, marking a significant step toward strengthening the scientific credibility of Malaysia’s health supplement industry.
The partnership, announced through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed at UM’s Chancellery, aims to evaluate Mindtropic’s complete formulation across four key areas: cognitive performance, stress resilience, autonomic nervous system function, and sleep quality. The initiative underscores Eskayvie’s commitment to elevating its product development through rigorous research, aligning with global standards for health and wellness innovations.
The MoA signing ceremony was attended by UM’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman, and Eskayvie’s Managing Director, Datin Dr Kartika Wati Mohamed. Also present were Eskayvie’s Executive Director and Head of Research & Innovation, Datuk Dr Syid Ayob Syid Mustafa Al-Qudri, Eskayvie Ambassador Datuk Aznil Haji Nawawi, and researchers from both institutions.
Datin Dr Kartika highlighted the partnership’s significance, stating that after 17 years of building Eskayvie, the company is prioritising research to ensure product quality and consumer trust. “Consumers’ trust in Mindtropic drives us to go further in research and innovation,” she said. “Through this collaboration with Universiti Malaya, we intend to clinically evaluate Mindtropic’s complete formulation to obtain more comprehensive scientific evidence regarding its efficacy.
For us, this trust comes with the responsibility to consistently prioritise quality, efficacy, and product safety. We hope this partnership will also pave the way for more research and scientific publications in the future.”
The clinical trial will be conducted in collaboration with the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC) at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), adhering to approved protocols and established clinical research standards. Datuk Dr Syid Ayob explained that Mindtropic’s formulation integrates ingredients selected for their cognitive, stress-mitigating, and sleep-enhancing properties. “Each ingredient has its own research foundation,” he noted.
“Through this clinical trial, we wish to take a step further by evaluating the efficacy of these combined ingredients as one complete formulation. The findings of this study will serve as the foundation for our future product research and innovation.”
Professor Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman reinforced UM’s commitment to translating research into societal benefits. “At Universiti Malaya, we believe that research should not only generate new knowledge but also benefit society,” he said. “This collaboration with Eskayvie allows us to combine the university’s scientific expertise and research capabilities with industry innovation and needs.
We hope this clinical trial will produce high-quality scientific evidence, thereby opening doors for the development of health innovations that are more relevant to the needs of the community.”
The partnership builds on Eskayvie’s establishment of the Eskayvie Research & Innovation Centre, a dedicated hub for clinical trials, formulation development, public health education, and health technology exploration. The centre aims to foster broader collaborations with universities, researchers, and health experts—both locally and internationally—to develop science-based health solutions.
This initiative is expected to bolster Mindtropic’s research foundation and support the growth of Malaysia’s health supplement sector by providing robust scientific validation for locally developed products. The clinical trial results, once published, will contribute to the broader body of evidence supporting cognitive health interventions, potentially influencing consumer behaviour and regulatory standards in the region.
