Market Impact
The 30-sen drop, the maximum permitted for stocks under RM1, triggered a suspension of intraday short selling for the rest of the session. Zetrix AI became the most active counter on Bursa Malaysia by volume within hours of trading.
Managing director Wong Thean Soon said the company is unaware of any issues and no investigation is underway. “All remains good at Zetrix, there is no issue with the company as far as the management is concerned,” he told The Edge.
Zetrix AI holds a collaboration agreement with HeiTech Padu, the primary contractor for the government’s National Integrated Immigration System. Wong owns 0.97% directly and 16.9% indirectly in HeiTech Padu via investment vehicles.
HeiTech Padu’s single largest direct shareholder is Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd, an investment vehicle linked to Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan, which holds a 23.61% stake.
Zetrix AI reported a 35% rise in second-quarter profit on AI and blockchain contributions, and declared a 0.25 sen dividend.
