KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) — Maxim Malaysia, in collaboration with the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), has donated 15 waiting-area benches and 15 wheelchairs to Tunku Azizah Hospital (HTA) under a joint corporate social responsibility initiative.

Market Impact

The contribution was aimed at supporting the hospital's daily operations, which cater to large numbers of patients and visitors, while facilitating mobility for patients with limited mobility, Maxim Malaysia said.

Maxim Kuala Lumpur head Syed Abdul Syarif Syed Peiaru said the practical contribution was intended to provide greater comfort for patients and their families during their time at the hospital.

"For us, even a small contribution can make a significant difference when it is made with a sincere desire to help. We believe efforts like this, carried out progressively, can help create a more caring and compassionate environment for the communities around us," he said in a statement.

The handover ceremony, held at the main lobby on the second floor of HTA, brought together representatives from the private sector, government regulators and the hospital management.

Maxim said the programme was in line with APAD's call, as the regulatory agency for e-hailing services in Malaysia, for greater cooperation between the government and private sector in contributing to community wellbeing.

"We hope efforts like this will inspire more companies to take similar steps and strengthen support networks for public institutions nationwide," it said.

The programme is part of Maxim Malaysia's ongoing CSR initiatives implemented across various states, focusing on community needs, including improving public facilities and supporting the education and healthcare sectors.
