In AWS Glue Studio, jobs are set to version 6.0 on the Job Details tab or via the %glue_version 6.0 magic command in notebooks. Existing jobs can be migrated using the Spark upgrade agent or the auto-upgrade feature.

AWS bills Glue by the second for crawlers and ETL jobs, while the Data Catalog charges a simplified monthly fee with the first million objects and accesses free. The update is available today in all AWS Regions where AWS Glue operates.
