Apple will unveil its next iPhone lineup on Sept 10 at 1am Malaysian time, the company said on Thursday, with Malaysians able to pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro the next day if the company follows its usual pattern.

The Cupertino firm said its keynote will stream live from its website and YouTube channel, with a teaser showing a glowing Apple and the theme “Surprise and Shine.” The event will be the first under new CEO John Ternus, who takes over from Tim Cook on Sept 1, 2026.

Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in Malaysia’s first wave, with pre-orders starting Sept 11 and local availability on Sept 18. The cheaper iPhone 18 is slated for next year. The keynote may also feature the company’s first foldable smartphone, provisionally called the iPhone Ultra.

Malaysia is among the initial markets for the new iPhones, but the foldable model could see a phased rollout limited to the US and China before expanding elsewhere. Apple’s last major design change, the iPhone X in 2017, followed a similar staged release.

Analysts expect higher prices across the new line-up because of a global RAM shortage. Apple’s latest Mac Mini and Mac Studio already start at RM3,799 and RM10,999, respectively, while the Polishing Cloth is the exception at RM39 after a price cut.

The keynote may also showcase refreshed accessories, including a new Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini. Apple has not disclosed Malaysian pricing or pre-order details for the new devices.
