Technology and semiconductor stocks led local advancers. Pentamaster rose 41 sen to RM5.70, ViTrox gained 35 sen to RM9.10, Malaysian Pacific Industries added 22 sen to RM46.94, UMS Integration climbed 21 sen to RM7.88, and Inari advanced 20 sen to RM2.41.
On the downside, F&N fell 90 sen to RM26.92, Hong Leong Financial Group dropped 18 sen to RM18.48, PETRONAS Dagangan shed 16 sen to RM19.54, and PETRONAS Chemicals lost 13 sen to RM4.52.
The ringgit firmed 0.05% against the US dollar at 4.0945 but eased 0.08% against the Singapore dollar to 3.1940. It also weakened 0.22% versus the euro at 4.7245 and slipped 0.1% against the pound sterling to 5.5131.
