BORNEO CONVENTION CENTRE KUCHING (BCCK), SARAWAK, MALAYSIA, 26 SEPTEMBER 2026 —
ALPHA claimed its second trophy of the night at the 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM25), winning Best Pop Song for P. Ramlee Saloma after earlier securing Best New Artist.
The victory—announced at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Sarawak—followed nominations for P. Ramlee Saloma in Best Group Vocal Performance and Best Recorded Song. The track, produced by Rocketfuel Entertainment, defeated entries including Dolla’s Question, Naim Daniel and Adnin Roslan’s Seni Berdamai Dengan Takdir, Amira Othman’s Dalam Sujudku, and Aisha Retno’s Diari Air Mata.
Songwriters Justin Seow, Mohsein Kush, and Prem Anand also received recognition for the win. ALPHA’s double triumph caps a night where Malaysian acts dominated the awards, reinforcing the industry’s shift toward homegrown talent in pop and urban music.
While the awards carry cultural prestige, Malaysia’s music sector remains reliant on digital streaming and live performances for revenue. The next AIM ceremony is scheduled for 2027, with nominations expected to reflect evolving trends in local music production. (Source: Astro Mustika HD, AIM25 official announcement)
