KUALA LUMPUR, 15 AUGUST 2026 —
Pepper Labs today unveiled 50,000 AI learning opportunities for Malaysians under the AI-Ready Malaysia initiative, marking one of the country’s largest industry-led efforts to accelerate artificial intelligence readiness.
Market Impact
The programme, launched by Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, during the AI-Ready Malaysia Summit 2026 in Damansara, funds practical AI training for university students, educators and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It is supported by AVPN, Google.org and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
“Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future—it is transforming the way we live, work and do business today,” Gobind said. “The launch of these 50,000 AI learning opportunities demonstrates the importance of strong collaboration involving government, industry and development partners in building an AI-ready nation, while ensuring that the benefits of AI are inclusive and accessible to all.”
Pepper Labs also announced a strategic partnership with MyDIGITAL Corporation to expand digital skills training outside major cities. The initiative coincides with Pepper Labs’ 11th anniversary and its transition from a social impact enterprise into one of Malaysia’s leading AI companies.
The company showcased Bisnes.ai, an AI-powered business support platform built for Malaysian micro-entrepreneurs and SMEs. Designed with sovereign AI infrastructure, the platform helps users generate business documents, analyse images, create marketing content and manage customer interactions in compliance with local regulations.
Pepper Labs said it now offers more than 40 agentic AI solutions for government agencies and ministries. These include intelligent policy assistants, grant assessment tools and project dashboards. The solutions automate knowledge-intensive tasks while maintaining governance and human oversight.
“These solutions transform how organisations access knowledge, evaluate information and make decisions by reducing manual effort and improving accuracy,” the company said. “Every recommendation remains transparent, traceable and subject to human approval.”
The initiative strengthens Malaysia’s sovereign AI capabilities and expands the adoption of agentic AI across public and private sectors. It builds on Pepper Labs’ existing portfolio of enterprise AI tools and workforce development programmes.
