Amazon Web Services will open permanent Builder Lofts in Berlin, Hyderabad and São Paulo, expanding on the San Francisco loft that opened in July 2025.

Market Impact

Each new loft will offer free workshops, co-working space, networking events and hackathons for students, developers and tech professionals. AWS said the San Francisco loft hosted more than 22,500 developers in its first five months through events including pitch nights, demo sessions and community-led meetups.

The new spaces follow the San Francisco model, with AWS providing infrastructure while local tech communities set the agenda. Organisers can book the venues at no cost to host meetups, the company said.

Malaysian developers can attend events in Berlin or Hyderabad to connect with regional startups and cloud engineers. AWS has not announced plans for a Kuala Lumpur loft.
