KUALA LUMPUR, 7 AUGUST 2026 —
Sagtec Global Limited will manage a new AI-ready data centre in Malaysia for Viryatec Limited, generating up to US$10 million in revenue over 36 months.
The agreement marks Sagtec’s strategic shift from enterprise software into AI infrastructure services. Viryatec is developing the facility in South East Asia to meet rising demand for AI computing, cloud hosting and high-performance digital services.
Under the proposed Data Center Management Agreement, Sagtec will oversee operations for the Malaysian site, supporting hyperscale workloads and mission-critical AI workloads across Southeast Asia. The deal is subject to definitive agreements, project implementation and the commencement of operations.
“AI is fundamentally reshaping how digital infrastructure is designed, operated and managed,” said Kevin Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Sagtec Global Limited. “This appointment is a strategic milestone as we expand into AI infrastructure services while strengthening our recurring revenue base.”
Ng said Sagtec’s expertise in AI technologies and intelligent operational systems would enable it to deliver efficient, reliable and scalable data centre management solutions. He added that the engagement would serve as a reference project to pursue additional AI infrastructure and data centre management opportunities across the region.
Viryatec Limited, a Hong Kong-based technology company, is developing the facility to support increasing demand for artificial intelligence computing, cloud infrastructure and enterprise hosting throughout Southeast Asia.
Malaysia has rapidly emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s preferred destinations for hyperscale and AI-focused data centre investment, according to CBRE’s 2026 Asia Pacific Data Centre Trends & Outlook Report. Direct investment into Asia-Pacific data centres reached a record US$11.6 billion in 2025, with Malaysia identified as a key growth market as AI adoption accelerates.
The project aligns with Malaysia’s push to attract hyperscale and AI-focused data centre investment, supported by its strategic location, expanding digital infrastructure, reliable connectivity and growing demand for AI computing capacity.
Sagtec Global Limited (NASDAQ: SAGT) is a Nasdaq-listed technology solutions provider based in Kuala Lumpur. Since its IPO in March 2025, the company has expanded its operations across Malaysia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, offering customizable enterprise software, AI-powered technologies and digital transformation services. Its proprietary cloud-based smart ordering system Speed+ and AI-driven SaaS platforms serve more than 12,000 clients.
The engagement is expected to generate meaningful recurring revenue for Sagtec over the next three years and establish a foundation for future expansion in AI infrastructure services throughout the region. The company believes the appointment represents an important first step toward building an integrated AI technology ecosystem encompassing AI software, enterprise platforms, intelligent data management, cloud technologies and digital infrastructure management.
Viryatec Limited specialises in information technology services, artificial intelligence solutions, cloud technologies and next-generation digital infrastructure solutions. The parties have not disclosed the location of the Malaysian data centre or the project’s expected capacity.
