UCSI University’s International Institute for Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (UCSI-IISDS) signed a five-year Memorandum of Agreement with the United Nations University Global Health (UNU-GH) on August 11, 2026.

Market Impact

The deal co-certifies UCSI’s Master in Science Diplomacy and Master of Science Policy and Communication programmes, embedding UNU-GH expertise through guest lectures and academic contributions. It also creates joint research projects, policy advocacy initiatives, postgraduate co-supervision and short-term research fellowships.

Both institutions will jointly develop future-ready leaders and advance policy-relevant research in science diplomacy, science policy, innovation, global health and sustainable development, according to UCSI-IISDS.

The co-certification scheme launches in the 2026/27 academic year, with the first cohort gaining access to the joint curriculum and research opportunities. UCSI-IISDS said the partnership strengthens its position as a regional leader in science diplomacy education and research.
