The Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at RM7,299 for the 256GB model, RM500 below the previous generation’s launch price.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at RM8,099, while the Galaxy Z Flip8 is priced from RM5,399.

Samsung said pre-order demand for the Galaxy Z Fold8 in Lavender and Graphite caused heavy traffic on its website.

From Aug 14 to Oct 4 buyers can save up to RM1,909.90 through rebates, bank offers and Samsung Rewards points.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is priced at RM3,399 and the Galaxy Watch9 ranges from RM1,499 to RM1,899.

Local apps including Maybank, CelcomDigi, Maxis, GSC Cinemas, iQIYI, Ambank, Gigi Coffee and ZUS Coffee have been optimised for the new devices.

Samsung told attendees foldables were becoming part of everyday life in Malaysia.
