KUALA LUMPUR — Google will invest US$2 billion in its first data centre campus in Malaysia, located in Selangor, as part of efforts to expand its digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia.

The project includes commitments to fund grid upgrades, increase renewable energy capacity, and restore more water than it consumes, aiming to mitigate the environmental impact of its operations.

Construction of the campus is expected to support about 4,200 jobs annually over three to five years, according to Google.
